Question #1:
Sci-Fi Horror Movie Help?
The movie was shown on the Sci-Fi channel years ago. I don't know if it was just for those few years, but hopefully someone will remember it.Anyways, the only scene I can remember is the man diving into the water with scuba gear, and swimming around the dead bodies of the women he had put in the lake.
Thank you in advance!
Question #2:
Is he an inconsiderate jerk, or is this all in my head? 10 points for any help :( ?
My boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship since we both went back to our home states after meeting on vacation. I am deeply in love with him.Okay, here is the problem. Firstly, he always blows me off when I want to talk on the phone or skype. Always without fail. We talk on the phone maybe once every 6 weeks. Seriously. The rest of the time it's texts and facebook.
I have not seen him for almost a year. I work constantly, but I always make time to talk to him. I never go out or get to have fun because I am working to save money to move for college, and also to visit him. He tells me he can't visit me because he has no money. We have been fighting a lot because of the distance, so I would say seeing one another is pretty important.
So, following his speech to me about how he is mean to me (one thing we argue about) because he's under so much stress from not being able to afford school and not having the money to see me. Of course, I understand. Two weeks later, he enrolls in a $1,000 scuba driving course.
I would understand this if perhaps scuba diving was a lifelong dream of his. But in the 4 years I have known him, he has never said anything about it. Never been to a body of water, hasn't even been in a pool. I take it in stride and I don't say anything. A month goes by, he is going to the swim shop every week buying gear and all kinds of stuff. He also buys concert tickets and things like that. I still say nothing.
Then he and his friends go on a 2 day trip to some diving spot. I get peeved, say nothing.
He just had a 4 day weekend off and spent 3 of those days on vacation 4 hours from his house (I live 8 hours from him) at another dive spot.
I am mad and upset and I tell him everything I feel. He gets mad and defensive (like usual) and the conversation ends with him saying he will change. He doesn't. 3 days later, he has blown off another phone call, and as I just find out- he's going on an $800 dive trip to the Bahamas in October.
Also- we were supposed to go to a concert together last year, and he promised he wouldnt go without me, but when I couldnt make it- he ignored me all day and then 5 minutes before it started he sent me a text that he went with his friend. He also once left me for his ex girlfriend. The list goes on and on.
I want to dump him but I feel bad, because I love him so much, I feel a huge sense of loss about what might have been. What do I do?
Question #3:
scuba gear - where can i find some?
where can i get some second hand scuba gear? anyone out there willing to get rid of theirs if they are not using it?Question #4:
should i try to make homemade scuba gear?
im in love with diving. i currently dive about 25 feet down on just holding my breath. i am trying to construct a homemade breathing apparatus. the basic design consists of my pressurized air tank for my paintball gun connected to a remote chord (which has a control valve to allow flow). on the other end of the remote chord i have connected the mouth piece of a snorkel for comfort.my questions are, what could go wrong? what dangers are associated when diving up to 50 feet?
this is meant to work like a hooka dive apparatus where i just take one breath and hold it for a while until i need another
Question #5:
On South Park, what was Mr. Garrison doing in the sewer with scuba gear?
In season two, episode nine, "Chef's Salty Chocolate Balls," the boys venture into the sewer in search of Mr. Hankey. Much to their surprise, they find their teacher, Mr. Garrison, appear from under the water in scuba gear. The kids ask him what he's doing, and Mr. Garrison asks them if they know how to file a police report. The boys say, "no," and Mr. Garrison disappears back into the water. Knowing the typical South Park brand of humor, I can't figure out if this is a reference to something, is relevant to a past or future episode, or if it's just random. Anyone know the answer?Question #6:

Question #7:
Help again? I really need to know the name of this movie!?
I have been looking for this FOREVER...This movie was probably made in the 80s or 90s. This is what I remember: The beginning of this movie started out with a boy and his grandfather. They were going to go diving, and they used the metal diver suits. Before the other scuba gear was made. Anyway, the grandfather ended up getting unattached from the air, and he drowned. So then, the boy and his friends went off on this treasure hunt. While on this hunt, he ended up falling in love with a girl that he also brought along. Also, they went to visit a man and to ask about the treasure, but the man ended up chasing him back to his ship while yelling and waving a sword at him. He then invited a pirate aboard his ship. This pirate taught him how to sword fight, and then stole his map. Finally, at the end of the movie, they are at this lighthouse, and that weird guy that was previously chasing him with a sword comes back. He ends up falling off the lighthouse, to his death.
This would be classified in the treasure - hunting genre. Does anyone know the name of this movie?

Question #13:
Where in southern NH can I rent scuba gear for a day?
I went off a rope swing, forgot to put away my glasses, and my glasses are now somewhere in an area about 6.5 ft deep. I'm not a great swimmer and it's very difficult to see in the lake because it's a bit dirty. Anyway, where can I go in southern NH to rent scuba gear?Oh and by scuba gear I mean snorkel and a tank. My friend says all I need is a snorkel but without 20/20 vision and a dirty lake, how could I see it without a tank of oxygen to look for it for 10 to 30 mins at the most.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as those glasses are $200 bucks and had them since 8th grade.
Thanks,

I am not great online, but I know it opens up lots of possibilities for shopping and finding the best deals. I know many other divers have taken to shopping online to avoid high prices at local dive shops. I'm happy to continue to support my LDS, but would like to start buying some of my gear online. What are the best retailers and their addresses? Thanks in advance!

Why do conservatives criticize the President for his handling of the BP oil spill?
1.) You guys are the "limited government" crowd. Yet, you don't want the private sector (BP) handling this on their own. You want the President of the US to put on his scuba gear and bring his leak plugging equipment down to the bottom of the gulf.2.) You all seem to know exactly what the President is doing about the matter. I've read and heard some say that he's doing nothing, but concentrating on legal issues rather than solving the problem (ignoring the fact that the US navy and Coast Gaurd was sent out there in April to start conducting burnings). How do any of you even know what Obama is doing hour by hour in regards to the leak?
3.) What would you have done if Obama had not stopped off shore drilling and two more accidents occurred out at sea? Would you direct all of your criticism past the oil industry to the President for not plugging those leaks fast enough as you seem to be doing in the case of this leak?
To all of those who answer "b/c of Katrina", rest assure, even some of your conservative ilk are cringing at this answer. FEMA dropped the ball on Katrina due to Bush's inexperienced appointee. Many people died because of this. That's only one of the many reasons Katrina would be a bad analogy.
What's hilarious also are the conservatives who admit that this is a big enough issue for big brother to get involved in. The economy almost goes off the edge of a cliff, and you guys scream no bailout and no stimulus. Let the free markets fix all!
Healthcare costs are slowly bleeding the country broke, and you guys think that the solution should be a market solution, no government.
But an environmental disaster happens and you cry "Obama is failing us"!
Don't make me laugh.
Question #19:
At this point, do you honestly care about "whose ass to kick", and just want some progress on the spill?
"President Barack Obama bluntly defended his administration's response to the undersea gusher fouling the Gulf of Mexico on Monday, telling an interviewer he has met with experts to learn "whose ass to kick.""I was down there a month ago, before most of these talking heads were even paying attention to the Gulf," Obama told NBC's "Today" show in an interview scheduled to air Tuesday. "A month ago I was meeting with fishermen down there, standing in the rain talking about what a potential crisis this could be."
A variety of critics have accused Obama of being too cerebral in his reaction to the undersea gusher now fouling the Gulf of Mexico, of failing to put the full force of the administration and of putting too much trust in oil company BP. But Obama told NBC his deliberations have been more than academic.
"I don't sit around talking to experts because this is a college seminar," Obama continued. "We talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick.""
That's still 2 weeks after it happened and it led on every major news network for those 2 weeks. But I digress. Is anyone else tired of the finger pointing and blame and just would like some visible action happening? I'm not saying that Obama needs to be down there in scuba gear shoving stuff in the hole, but for goodness sakes, stop blaming others and just say we have to do this, let's work together for the sake of the country and do it.
