Well a jet ski or personal watercraft is like a car only worse. The boat analogy applies here. A boat is a hole in the water down which you throw money. It is very mechanical and technical and will break. And the waters on which you can use them are getting pretty restricted and busy. Scuba gear can last a lifetime and if kept up right can bring you great joy. So in answer to your question I would agree that scuba is a better use of your coin.
