What are you talking about..what type of gear..the snorkle? The mask? The tank? Need more details..I am sure it had to be tested before put in use so I would imagine it is safe...but if you don't feel comfortable don't do it. Use a proven safe product..plastic!

yeah dont use Styrofoam. Use like Rubber or plastic
