I don't know why it's a surprise that Obama is so inept at handling situations. Haven't we seen that time and time again during the last 18 months? He delegates to his underlings and they are incompetent like he is. He has fumbled every important thing since he took office. But he is excellent at White House parties. At taxpayer expense.

Yeah. I want this leak plugged. For cripes sake, we can send a man to the moon but can't plug a hole a mere 5,000' below sea level on our own planet? Please. Are you kidding me? The whole stinks. I feel like we are in the "Perfect Storm" of politics. It's not going to bode well.

There's been a number of methods suggested to clean up the oil, and to help save the shoreline. I can't understand why the government, and BP aren't considering any of them. Ordinary hay was suggested to absorb the oil from the water, I've also heard of using hair, and other materials (polyester sheeting).

I agree. There's plenty of time to "kick someone's ***" later.

Obama is not really to blame, B.P. did not have a back up plan in case their procedure did not work. this is just common sense. B.P. wanted to save 500,000 dollars by not installing the off switch. so the plan has failed, and there is really no way to stop the leaking at this time; simply because some one wanted to save what is considered a few dollars to this billion odd dollar company. you people will blame Obama for any thing simply because he does not sun bathe. one would think that a big company such as B.P would have some good back up plans but they DONT. People can point fingers all they want but the fact is there really isn't much that the president could have done. Don' t believe me? do your own research and sit down and really think about it. THE TRUTH IS B.P IS TO BLAME.
