Question: Why do conservatives criticize the President for his handling of the BP oil spill?
( Back )
Answer #1:
The same reason Liberals criticized Bush for his handling of Katrina.Answer #2:
Because of the worthless guy they voted for was a failure.Misery loves company.
Answer #3:
It's what they do. See? the people trying to bring up "Katrina" are proving my point. What is happening in the Gulf of Mexico is not similar to Katrina in any way.
Answer #4:
Children need attention and they do not mind making fools out of themselves attempting to get it.Answer #5:
One word.KATRINA.
SAY IT !!
Answer #6:
James Carville is a conservative?huh
Answer #7:
Our tax dollars paid for disaster recovery efforts in the form of FEMA. Shut down FEMA and your point will be well received.Answer #8:
For the same reasons the liberals are !!! Time to wake up and enjoy "other" news outlets...You sound very "self handicapped".Answer #9:
Obama--who hasn't talked with BP CEO Tony Hayward--has reached out to "Avatar" director James Cameron. And not long after, one of the only celebrities to even mention the catastrophe, Spike Lee, encouraged Obama to "go off".The next day, the always-cool Obama told Larry King he was "furious," and days later he proclaimed that he was looking for azzes to kick. He should be more concerned with plugging the damn hole and reaching out to people who have more expertise.
Everytime someone complains, he runs down to the gulf coast now. His detached, not really engaged or involved image hasn't helped him.
Answer #10:
freedom of speech is a protected right that libs despise!!! Also it is apparent that libs live by a double standard and hypocrisy!!!!Answer #11:
Because he's so deserving of the criticism.Answer #12:
1) In this case, the government SHOULD be involved. It has become too big of an issue for the government not to step in.2) He isn't doing anything about it. I'd like to see you name one thing that he has done, besides giving speech after useless speech.
3) This is actually the Democratic Party's fault anyway. You and your environmental activist buddies. But your only response is to point fingers at the Republican Party.
You FAIL.
Answer #13:
What's with the same stupid talking points being repeated over and over?Did your masters send you out to flood all the blogs with this stupidity?
1. This is a very stupid argument you are making. You really should try thinking before speaking. If you do not understand that this disaster is bigger than BP can handle, with the spill occupying thousands of square miles and affecting hundreds of miles of coastline, then there is nothing I could say that would shine enough light into the darkness of your mental cavern.
2. This is because we have to assume what he is doing because he's not told us anything he's doing. When a crisis occurs, a real leader needs to keep the people informed, not go around saying they just don't know the facts. Well, for a guy who puts himself on TV every other day, why hasn't he detailed or had someone else tell us all the things he's doing? After 7 weeks, he had neither talked with BP nor, apparently, with the governors of the Gulf states. WTF kind of leadership is that????
3. Gee, what if Wizards from Jupiter riding green unicorns invaded Earth while Obama was playing golf? This question is just a silly as yours there.
Answer #14:
How it all changes when it is "Obama" not "Bush" and "oil" not "Katrina" and it's a "(D)" not a (R)! Perhaps He should simply STFU and take it "Presidentially" like a MAN; I like the Obama comment that it was "the unholy alliance of Bush/Cheney and Big Oil" that is to blame: in other words, He knew of a lack of procedural oversight but still approved the well, with prior knowledge of an impending failure! Get used to it though... it happened on "His watch" and, despite all the denial, there is not a damned thing that will "Change" it! The shoe is on the other hand now: "GET USED TO IT Obama is the President!"Answer #15:
KATRINA........ now STFU and take your medicine LOLAnswer #16:
I'm an independent, but I thought you democrats were supposed to care about the environment. We're the planeteers, you can be one too
'cuz saving our planet is the thing to do
looting and polluting is not the way
hear what Captain Planet has to say
"The power is yours"
Also, it doesn't take someone over 50 days to start kicking someone's (explicative). Maybe Obama lived some sheltered life.
How about the government that I pay taxes to actually do something besides talk and bail out business failures, like they did with AIG over the course of a weekend (Obama voted in favor of TARP).
Or to put it in the buzz words that democrats understand
Let it be clear, that Obama has done an unprecedented amount of nothing in a memorable way in regards to this historic oil spill in these tough economic times.
Answer #17:
1) It is not a limited government world , his navy have paid scuba divers , which is not a practical solution a sBP have access to scuba divers , he does not have leak plugging equipment or surely surely he would have said , " your taxes have paid for this leak plugging equipment then here you go , borrow it for the weekend. "2) the leak is still happening so obama and B.P. are achieving nothing but hopefully work in the background is going ahead.
3) Offshore drilling is , and always will be dangerous , nobody is directing the criticism to Obma nor have they ever , the responsibility lies with B.P. , people just ask " why criticise , just help "
EDIT All those who dont make or manufacture or produce criticise or suck off , dont do anything and you dont make mistakes , it all sounds like we have reached peak oil and here is your bitter pill , so swallow it .
Answer #18:
Well well, aren't you full of self-righteous judgemental indignation over things you just imagined. The FACT is that this spill was the result of lax enforcement by the Obama administration.
It never should have happened in the first place.
Why is that so hard for you to understand?
Answer #19:
1) If the government uses its existing resources (like the national guard) to help build sand bars and scoop up oil, it does NOT increase the size or reach of the government.2) The government has complained repeatedly that the leak isn't fixed. He's claimed that he's been on the issue since day one. Then at the same time he talks about how it is BP's responsibility and he is hands off. The US has massive mental resources in the government employment that could probably be tapped to help think of solutions for the spill (heck the media is calling for ideas to pitch)...yet Obama is happy to sit an wait for BP to figure it out on their own.
3) If two more spills had happened, then the industry would need to have its practices investigated. The REALITY is, for starters oil spills from rigs are INSANELY RARE, and shutting down the rigs is MORE dangerous than allowing them to continue working. Deep Horizon occurred in part because they were working on shutting down the rig to convert it from exploration into production. They cut corners etc. too, but the shut down is what started the domino chain.
Answer #20:
1.) This is the most annoying type of argument (strawman) I've ever seen, and it gets repeated over and over. Just because "we" are for limited government doesn't mean the government should ignore disasters. Please get your head out of your ass before making ignorant statements like this.2.) "How do any of you even know what Obama is doing hour by hour in regards to the leak?" That's a rhetorical question, and a red herring.
"You all seem to know exactly what the President is doing about the matter" O rly?
"I've read and heard some say that he's doing nothing, but concentrating on legal issues rather than solving the problem" Pics or it didn't happen.
"ignoring the fact that the US navy and Coast Gaurd was sent out there in April to start conducting burnings" Pics or it didn't happen.
Answer #21:
Poor Barry, He's above his pay grade and can't vote 'present' any more.Where is a leader like Sarah Palin when you need one?
