Mary Said: Loved the mask enough to give the set another chance ( Aug. 17th 2010 )
I bought this set for my vacation in order to avoid renting not-so-great quality equipment. I am extremely happy with the mask and the snorkel. After my first swim, I got a hang of it and rarely had to readjust it. Dry snorkel lives up to its claims. Several times when I got covered by a wave or when dove down to explore something, the tube closed off on time, preventing me from breathing in a mouthful of salty water. My friend bought a set for a similar price with similar claims but a different brand and she definitely had more trouble with her mask and snorkel.
I am slightly disappointed by the fins. The fins fit well and were comfortable, however after returning from my trip I noticed that the rubber strap that holds the fins was cracked on one of my fins and there was a small tear on the other one. I think I took good care of my equipment. I rinsed it every time after leaving the ocean and I don't think I abused this set or used it in any unusual manner. Maybe it's just one defective set or maybe those little cracks and tears are not important, however considering that I only used them 8 or 9 times that was a bit of a concern for me, especially that the strap bears a lot of pressure. To avoid losing a fin in the ocean in the future, I decided to return this set, but I loved the mask, snorkel and the comfort of the fins enough to purchase it again and give it another try.
Astrid Mesa Said: Magnifica careta ( Jul. 27th 2010 )
Me gusto mucho el equipo, sobretodo la careta es de lo mejor, lo no tan bueno es que las aletas son un poco cortas pero se compensa con las grietas que permiten buen deslizamiento en el agua.
H. Pan Said: Great Snorkeling Package for the Money ! ( Jun. 17th 2010 )
Great set for the money, I think the fins are a bit stiff, the snorkel is great (comes with a whistle built in), and the mask is really a very high quality mask. The Mask and snorkel come from Promate an off name but their equipment reviews always seem high. First dive with the mask I had slight leakage but my second day I had none, I think I had a misadjustment on the first day that I couldn't straighten out.
Overall I think a set similar to this from my dive shop would have cost close to double this amount. Very happy with it and would highly recommend.
E. McConnell Said: uncomfortable mask ( May. 15th 2010 )
The snorkel and the fins work great. Maybe it's just the shape of my face but if I got the mask tight enough to where it didn't leak, the bridge of my nose was smashed against the mask and it was very uncomfortable. It would still leak if I dove down more than a couple feet. I had a bruise on the bridge of my nose during our vacation. Also I suggest purchasing anti-fog drops; before I got those I would have to stop every few minutes and wipe the lenses clean.
Danielle R. Wright Said: great products! ( May. 10th 2010 )
i purchased these so i wouldnt have to rent the gear when i took a trip down to cabo. the fins worked great and were comfortable...they are adjustable and fit great (i didnt wear any booties or anything with them) the snorkel worked amazing. i had my doubts about the valve closing when i would need it to but when i was out on the water it worked better then i ever expected! the mask is the only part that wasnt great for me. the bridge of the nose piece is very shallow and hurt after a while of using it. (i dont have a big nose) lol that was more of an annoyance than anything though. i would definitally recommend this to others!
